Special Meeting Q&A 2-12-2022

On February 12, 2022 we held a Special Meeting to answer questions regarding the upcoming Bylaws & Covenants Amendment Ballot. The meeting was held in the Clubhouse and was also aired live on Facebook. Some of the questions from the Facebook “comments” feed were not answered during the meeting. You can find the Q&A here. Also included in the document is a link to the Facebook Live video in case you want to go back and listen again. Because it was recorded on Facebook, no minutes to the meeting will be provided.

Memorial Day Weekend In The Woods

Memorial Day Weekend In The Woods

Memorial Day is always our big kick off to a summer of fun at Wildwood. This year will be no different. We’ve got a few hurdles to overcome, but it will be a great time no matter what!

Trei, WLOA VP of the Board, announced that due to rain delays, the pool is not quite ready to open. On the flip side of that, Mother Nature is giving a high percent chance of rainstorms all weekend, so the pool not opening is turning out to be a non-issue.

All other events will go on, rain or shine!

Saturday—May 29, 2021

  • 8:00am—10:00am: Breakfast @the Clubhouse (thanks to WCCC for making this happen)
  • 11:00am—2:00pm: Pick up your raffle tickets at the Clubhouse pavilion.
  • Also 11:00am—2:00pm: Food Trucks will be located at the clubhouse parking lot. Taco Truck, BBQ and Kona Ice. (BYOB to make your snow cones adult!)
  • 2:00pm Washers Tournament – Turkey Comfort (thanks to our Lot Owner, Beja, for setting this up)
  • 7:30pm -10:00pm: Concession Stand @the Clubhouse (WCCC)
  • 8:00pm—Midnight: Dance @the Clubhouse (DJ plus a Photo Booth)
We will be raffling off lots of great prizes for adults and kids. So be sure to come pick up your ticket between 11am and 2pm.
All raffle tickets are FREE to Lot Owners (1 per adult Lot Owner and 1 per child) and can be picked up at the Clubhouse Pavilion.
Lot Owners can pick up raffle tickets ONLY for themselves…no picking up batches of tickets for other Lot Owners.

Lot Owners do NOT need to be present to win prizes, so be sure to include a phone number & lot number when you turn in your tickets.

LOTS OF GREAT PRIZES
In the event of rain (which seems most likely) the dance will be inside the clubhouse instead of under the pavilion. The DJ will let us know what he needs to do to best protect his equipment. Bring your best smiles for the photo booth!
The planning of the Memorial Weekend events has been an enormous undertaking. Many people were involved in creating a memorable time at our happy place and everyone is looking forward to a great weekend.
In addition to the scheduled events, the volleyball court and basketball/tennis courts will be ready to see some action. Hope to see everyone out and about – rain or shine!

Assessment Increase – UPDATE

Assessment Increase – UPDATE

Lot Owners: Item #1 in the recent ballot was recently determined to have passed but has now been determined to have failed based on legal advice.

According to the bylaws an assessment increase requires passage by 66% of the ballots cast. This vote was 457 yes votes to 236 no votes.

That’s 65.945166%, literally less than a single vote, but after consulting with legal counsel it was determined that mathematical rounding in this case is not advised.

The majority of the lot owners have spoken and we thank you for your support and your desire to help improve a very old infrastructure and a park in much need of upgrades and improvements. You were the vast majority. Unfortunately, because of the bylaws, in this case the few nay sayers have spoiled it for the majority.
